Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated on the authority of ‘Ubadah bin al-Samit (Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Whoever happens to wake up in the night and says:

Then asks for forgiveness, or make Du’a, Allah will answer him.

Then if he performs Wudu’ and prays, Allah will accept his prayer.”

Ibn Hajar al-‘Asqalani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “No Muslim who heard of this Hadith should neglect it. He should teach it to his family and act upon it.”
