Weak Hadiths & Virtuous Actions

Imam al-Nawawi (rahmatuLlahi ‘alayhi) said in the introduction to his Forty Hadith:
“Scholars agree it is permissible to put into practice a weak hadith that deals with virtuous actions (fadail al-a’mal).”
