Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, Allah be pleased with him, narrates,
“He was present in the company of the Messenger of Allah, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him, his family and companions, when the Prophet asked,
“What is best for a woman?” on this the Companions, Allah be pleased with them, remained quiet.
When I returned home I asked Fatimah, Peace be upon her. “Tell me what is best for a woman?”
Fatimah replied, “It is best for a woman that NO men outside of her immediate family (i,e. brothers, father, uncle, husband and sons) should see her.
I mentioned this to the Prophet and he said, “Indeed, Fatimah is a part of me.”
